Brown-Forman Junior Brand Manager Hungary in Budapest, Hungary

Meaningful Work From Day One

The overall responsibility of Jr Brand Manager Hungary is to support the SBM Hungary and Slovakia in developing strategies and plans for all BF brands portfolio (with focus on Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands and Finlandia Vodka) and lead the executions of the brand plans based on solid consumer insight, market analysis, and evaluation of competitor performance in close cooperation with the local distributor partners.

It will collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders, including the regional and global brand teams, as well as agencies (BTL/media/research) and other service providers.

What You Can Expect

Brand Planning & Execution

  • Actively participate in strategy & annual plans development

  • Support Senior Brand Manager Hungary in development, execution and post-evaluation of key marketing activities on Hungarian market

  • Actively participate in strategy & annual plans development

  • Coordination and alignment of relevant business action with regional and Global brand teams

  • Cooperate and manage local partner agencies to ensure best plans execution;

  • Build on-going communication and work with the distributor team to successfully implement the Channel and BTL strategies;

  • Supervise brand ambassador, including supporting daily activities and manage local programs (social content creation, bartender contests, masterclass programs)

  • Perform the role of brand guardian and is ultimately responsible that all B-F consumer/customer communication is in line with overall brand rules, is fully compliant with the local law and is following the internal legal B-F procedures

Consumer and trade insights

  • Ensure the analysis on a regular basis of the competitive environment and emerging trends in markets in order to implement corrective measures and action plans.

  • Performs regular market visits (on-and off-trade) to gain knowledge and observations about the market and consumers.

Budget management

  • Systematically consolidate monthly marketing spend and prepare monthly budget reports. Ensure proper attribution of costs in budget.

Distributors Partners engagement and motivation

  • Build excellent relationship with distributor-partners to ensure high collaboration, on-time execution and achievement of established KPIs;

  • Ensure effective brand-related training, on-boarding and act as an ambassador for brand knowledge, education and best in class activation

Approximate priority split:

  • Brand plan execution: 40%

  • External/internal partners and stakeholders communication, management, and alignment 30%

  • Strategic planning & implementation: 20%

  • Business analysis: 10%

What You Bring to the Table

  • Education: University/College Degree in Marketing, management, or similar discipline;

  • Experience:

  • Qualified in marketing and 2-3 years relevant experience in brand management

  • Experience in driving the overall communications plan including TTL activities

  • Budget management

  • Experience in spirits or image driven premium brands

  • Working with 3rd party distributor partners

  • Previous experience of managing digital and social media campaigns

  • Know-how of on-trade and e-commerce

  • Portfolio management

  • Fluent in Hungarian and English, both spoken and written

  • IT literate - MS Office applications & Google applications

  • Superb creative flair, passionate about building brands

  • Strong communication skills (influencing, listening, presentations, written)

  • Great analytical skills, commercially savvy and solution focused to solving problems

  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels with strong stakeholder awareness

  • Collaborative team player, with conflict management skills

  • Self-starter with proven ability to plan and prioritize with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects

  • Able and willing to travel internationally and attend evening and weekend events when needed
