Brown-Forman Director - Supply Chain Integration SAP Business Transactions and Process Management in Louisville, Kentucky

Meaningful Work from Day One… Responsible for all related Supply Chain Integration business process development and documentation, master data management including new sale entity setup and changes required to support the global distribution and sale of Brown-Forman products. Responsible for all related SKU Processes & pricing activities required to support the manufacture and sale of Brown-Forman Beverages products worldwide. Leads and manages the development of Supply Chain processes and sets strategic direction to ensure consistency of SC SAP business transactions across the Supply Chain. Including new Route to consumer distribution changes. Manages Supply Chain Integration SAP infrastructure setup and master data processes to support day to day operational issues. Responsible to approve all significant Supply Chain Integration SAP system changes before implementation. Serves as the Business Process Owner responsible for approving changes to SAP security processes for Supply Chain transactions user assignment and annual security review. Responsible for program management for Supply Chain Integration’s “Deliver Project” continuous improvement program. Responsible for establishing and directing all SKU Process related activities required to manage compliance issues for International, Local in-market regulations for all Brown-Forman Beverages products to ensure successful compliance for delivery and sale to all Brown-Forman Beverages markets worldwide. Includes SKU Rationalization process, international back label change direction & Slow moving/Obsolete inventory process. Leads and Directs Global Distributor level Price Administration activities to ensure that guidelines and policies are being followed for the appropriate revenue recognition for Brown-Forman customers globally. Provides Supply Chain integration direction regarding market registration processes of all wine and spirits products in international countries as defined to ensure in-market compliance.

What You Can Expect…

  • Leads Supply Chain integration efforts in the development and documentation of global SAP sales and distribution (SD) processes in conjunction with IT, Finance, Credit, etc. to assure consistency of processes across global business units.

  • Develops & recommends Supply Chain Integration business process strategy and leads Global SAP Rollout and Route to Consumer projects for the Supply Chain group. Develop initial strategy for Supply Chain processes. Manages Order to Cash transaction process and master data development. Manages and participates in testing, training and support of the new distribution.

  • Develop and maintain the SKU approval/rationalization process guidelines for working with Brown-Forman Beverages Field Sales and Marketing. Responsible to ensure that appropriate process changes are identified, communicated and followed for new SKU requests.

  • Resolve complex compliance issues in collaboration with Field Sales, Marketing, and Legal as it pertains to Domestic, International, Local and Federal Government regulations for all Brown-Forman Beverages products and related bottling materials in a timely and cost effective manner.

  • Manages team on SKU setup for new products, package changes, value added packs and extension of products to new markets. Provides leadership ensuring consistency in processes and setup. Includes providing Supply Chain direction for Customer Product Portfolio requirements for all markets. Develops business and technical skills of staff to increase productivity. Fosters using automation and process improvements to enhance master data processes, new product rollouts and streamlining operational processes.

  • Manages the building of the Global Promotional Packaging Bill of Materials infrastructure used to drive material procurement and manage the supply chain for the gift programs. Evaluate processes annually to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Directs the Pricing Administration staff responsible for maintaining all SAP pricing updates for all finance approved price changes, timely resolution of all invoicing discrepancies, state price filings along with update and mailing price letter for export (non US Domestic) customers.

  • Responsible for directing efforts to identify and recommend options for disposition of Slow-moving/Obsolete inventory of finished Goods and raw materials at all BF warehouse locations in a cost effective manner. Ensures projects are followed from initiation through completion.

  • Provides Supply Chain integration direction regarding market registration processes of all wine and spirits products in international countries as defined to ensure in-market compliance.

  • Supports Supply Chain on technical/master data and process issues in day-to-day operations. Approves major Supply Chain Integration SAP rollouts, enhancements and or release updates and recommends go/no go decision to the V.P. Supply Chain. Work with IT to set priorities on SAP Supply Chain projects and change requests. Approve security requests for Supply Chain integration employees needing access to SAP Supply Chain transactions.

  • Manages Supply Chain Integration "Deliver Project" process improvement project teams and/or the evaluation and implementation of the team's recommendations.

We are Looking for People Who…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration or related area and at least 5+ years experience in Supply Chain with a focus on technology processes

  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the Supply Chain model.

  • Demonstrated high degree of understanding SAP R/3 and BW.

  • Demonstrated solid understanding of technical report writing tools required to extract information for analysis.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving, mathematical skills and analytical capabilities to determine origin of data and making independent decisions from data.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand Accounting & Finance principles to offer solutions in assisting in fiscally responsible decision making in SAP global rollouts to various BF entities.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to respond timely and effectively to multiple inquiries from a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work & communicate with diverse International people/groups and understand, respect, and appreciate the cultural differences.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • PC operation proficiencies and operation software’s such as Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Google, Visio etc.

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time, including international.

What You Can Add to the Team...

  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, IT or related field

  • Demonstrated knowledge of customer relations, distribution channels, transportation mode services to domestic and international locations.

  • Demonstrated knowledge proficiency with the SAP Material Management and Sales and Distribution model.

  • Demonstrated report writing experience with BW Report writers

  • Proven knowledge of the production process and multi-plant logistic operations involving high level shipping activities plus the corresponding knowledge customer service related activities.

  • Experience in the Wine and Spirits industry.
