Meaningful work from Day One
This role will be responsible for providing key sales performance reports for our major retail customers and provide assistance to the Senior Category Managers on business initiatives and category reviews. You will also be providing assistance when needed to the wider Sales and Marketing team on customer, brand and innovation related issues. You will be managing channel specific databases and software to the benefit of the B-FA business.
What you will experience
Provide assistance to the Senior Category Managers on business and category reviews for the major chains and independents.
Identify top insights and share with B-FA business (weekly or monthly)
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to help them build better commercial arguments to take to retailers to assist them in the growth of Brown-Forman brands.
Monitor commercial performance of brands along with health metrics at regular intervals to guide brand activation- Assist marketing in leading brand strategy implementation for focus brands.
Update ongoing monthly reports for the Marketing, Sales, Finance and Leadership team
Facilitate the Business Education session and handling ad-hoc queries regarding brand strategy and shopper activation.
Marketing Planning Inputs – Develop within the marketing team key channel analysis reporting that is required for Brand Planning and Strategy & Ideation processes, providing recommendations where appropriate
Develop, deliver and socialise key sales performance analysis (Channel, Segment, Distribution, Rate Of sales, Discounts) for the Brand Strategy & Ideation and Brand Planning processes.
Service and deliver ongoing reporting requests from marketing teams for brand sales performance
Category Management – Maintain the timely provision and high quality of all Brown-Forman’s current sales based Insights reports/ updates including Instant Insights, Category Reviews, business reviews and Planograms for National and Independent retailers.
Develop and deliver commercial arguments with a fact basis resulting in increased acceptance of Brown-Forman recommendations.
Space Management – When required, develop and execute in market, shelf merchandising recommendations that increase the visibility of BFA brands from a consumer perspective.
Manage channel specific insights data and databases to the benefit of the B-FA Business. Ensure the bases are used in the appropriate manner and are returning an efficient ROI. This includes any new data sources such as On Premise, Off Premise Scan data, Shopper data Quantium and Summit Independent Scan data
Prior experience in a sales / category / trade marketing capacity
Experience with Scan / Sales data and space management software
Proven communication / influencing skills
Strong attention to detail
Advanced Excel and Powerpoint competency
Proven data manipulation and analysis experience
Competency in Aztec IRI (or similar) reporting / software systems
General understanding of both the Marketing and Sales functions
